The FESHE certified program can be completed 100% online, and provides the flexibility required by students working all shifts and hours.

As the firefighting profession continues to make technological advances, Volunteer State Fire Science Instructors serve students by providing current, relevant instruction on today’s fire service topics and trends. Volunteer State Community College focuses on the critical thinking and problem solving skills not learned in training or on the job. Students can acquire a broader base of knowledge, and a new perspective on the fire service profession.
